Summary
Me and my classmates decided to organize an event just before the break that would unite the whole lower school. During this event, everyone who organized it had a specific role and task to accumplish. Some people were in a group of two persons, some were by themselves (which was my case). We all supervised different activities in which the little kids would participate once they would buy the tickets. My role was to supervise the activity that I would choose (which was a penalty game, since I love soccer). I set the price to $2 per game (5 kicks), and if the kids would score at least 3 goals by avoiding the obstacles (chairs that I set up on their way) they would get a prize which was a pack of candies.
What I learnt
As the event started, we all realized that we made a big mistake because we didn't advertize enough, so there was only a few people who came. This mistake was however a good lesson for me because I know that if I want to organize something similar in the future, I need to advertize it more. This was part of the planning which was done without analysing all the elements and that led us to learn from it. Additionally, I also got to tech the kids how to kick the soccer ball properly and share my passion for soccer. To conclude, even though it was a bit of a failure for us, we still managed to raise more than $100 and commit a mistake from which we learnt a good lesson.
