Summary
Harmony day is a special day that takes place at my school every year in which the students represent their country. Basically every single family had to bring a dish to represent their country and then we had a sort of parade. My role was to help others to prepare this event by organizing the necessary in order for it to happen. I moved tables, chairs, painted the banners, put the flags in the right place... At the end of the day, I also provided help, like most of the people, in order to clean and put the tables and chairs where they belonged to.
What I learnt
During this activity, I learnt many things such as for example cooperation and organization. We had to decide what had to be moved/done first and allocate the roles with other students so there would be no confusion and we could get the job done more quickly as we would work efficiently. In addition to this, I also had to paint the banners that we would then putaround the place where people would meet. I interacted a lot with people who were in the same group as me and it allowed us to teach each other artistic things, ways of painting... etc
