New staff room

Summary
For a whole week, me and a couple of my classmates worked on what would become the new staff room. As our school bought a new building, it needed to be cleaned so all the furniture could be placed there. I decided to contribute to it using my free time. My job was to remove the rubbish and clean the room for the first 4 days and then to move all the tables and chairs inside.

What I learnt
Since we didn't really have a leader, we all decided to cooperate and work together as well as plan the tasks that needed to be done - and this was one of the main things that I learnt from this long term activity. In fact, I learnt how to work efficiently in a group with several persons who did not always share my point of view on how and when things needed to be done. It lead us to an agreement in which we analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of each other's point of view and came up with a plan which contained a mix of all of the students' opinions. I have to say that this was a great opportunity for me to learn how to interact and cooperate with other people as well as respect their point of view and share mine.
